Lund Honored with Fifth Consecutive CSI Award

National Marine Manufacturers Association recognizes legendary boat brand for excellence in customer satisfaction

New York Mills, Minn. (Sept. 23, 2015) – For the Central Minnesota boat builder, it’s become something of a tradition. For the fifth year in a row, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) honored Lund Boats with the 2015 Marine Industry CSI award for customer service, adding another gold star next to the legendary brand.

The CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) Award recognizes marine manufacturers who attain the highest levels of customer contentment, as voted on by the customers themselves.

Designed to enable marine industry manufacturers to measure and improve customer satisfaction, the NMMA’s CSI program requires manufacturers to survey all known retail consumers of their brands within the first 12 months of boat ownership. In addition to authenticating customer contentment with their boat and engine, the survey also gauges satisfaction with their local boat dealer.

"It’s a really satisfying token of recognition," says Lund Customer Service Manager, Jesse Hanish. "Anytime your customers give you such high marks in service, it feels good, like you’re doing things the right way. We pride ourselves on that."

To qualify for the CSI award, manufacturers must achieve and maintain an independently-measured standard of excellence in customer satisfaction of 90-percent or higher over the past year.

"Earning the Marine Industry Customer Service Award for the fifth year in a row is an acknowledgment of our efforts to keep our focus on our customers first," adds Hanish. "We take tremendous pride not only in the quality and craftsmanship of our boats, but in the customer service we provide at both the manufacturer and dealer levels."
