Ostego, Minn., Jan. 23, 2018 - Crestliner welcomes a versatile member to its line-up of durable, reliable fishing boats with the all-new Bass Hawk. Built on the hull design of the Fish Hawk series and featuring the raised bow and stern decks similar to the PT series, the Bass Hawk offers a flexible platform for bass anglers and more.
"We're really excited to introduce the Bass Hawk not only to hardcore bass anglers, but also to muskie and multiple-species anglers," said Jake Mirabal, Crestliner product manager. "The Bass Hawk's rugged build allows for fishing on bigger, rougher waters, which expands where you can fish and what you can catch."
Available in an 1850 and 1750 model -- in both side console and dual console configurations -- the Bass Hawk features exceptional use of onboard space. A generous 18 feet, 9 inches of onboard space on the 1850, and 17 feet, 9 inches on the 1750 comprise huge casting decks at both the bow and stern, and comfortable seating throughout. Both lengths include built-in premium bucket seats, with the option of adding a center seat. The 1850 offers an optional layout, with two pedestal seats in the cockpit and jump seats in the stern.
Expansive bow and stern casting decks provide anglers with ideal platforms for casting exactly where they need and maneuvering with ease. For as advantageous as the bow casting deck is on the surface, it has a lot going on underneath, as well. Four deep storage compartments hold all kinds of gear and tools, a recessed trolling motor foot control tucks neatly away, and a center lockable and lighted rod locker contains 15 tubes that hold five 8-foot rods, five 7-foot-6-inch rods, and five 7-foot rods. (A rod ramp with straps holds an additional four rods in the cockpit.) The stern deck features multiple storage compartments, and a 28-gallon aerated livewell to keep catches fresh.
Getting to the next fishing spot is quick and efficient, thanks to a maximum 150 horsepower Mercury Marine engine on the 1750, and 200 horsepower engine on the 1850 (both bucket and pedestal configurations). And anglers shouldn't be surprised when heads turn their way as they're blasting past; the construction and aesthetics of the Bass Hawk make a bold statement. The build is completely wood-free, including the floor and transom, and optional vinyl flooring makes for easier cleaning at the end of a long day of fishing. Eight color combinations and the optional Mad Fish graphics or Shock Effect wrap allow owners to personalize the look of their Bass Hawk.
"The Bass Hawk combines many powerful elements from various Crestliner models to create a unique bass boat that's as commanding as it is versatile," said Eric Hendrickson, president of Crestliner. "A variety of anglers will find the Bass Hawk ideal for getting them exactly where they need to be with confidence and control."
